Our very own first pair of FRONTs, made from fully hand-reshaped and reassembled 'spare' parts including antique fronts, which gave its name to this collection. The demi-amber front pictured comes from a stock of 1940-50s 4 to 6mm crown pantos that were dropped at our door a few months back. The torn-up newspaper pages they were wrapped in indicate that they could have been stored for the last time somewhere after 1965, in the region of Oyonnax (FR). The temples are from another deadstock to complete the frame. This lead to months and months of research, experimentations and puzzles, to match the fronts to some 70's temples by hand-reshaping both pieces and connecting them with some good old repairable rivet-hinges. Each frame is one of a kind and this sort of carftsmanship deserves good focus and some time.
